CAVE OF Ortocupo
The Greek sailors used the term Leukos to refer to the white cliff that gave its name to what we now call Leuca. It would later become Santa Maria di Leuca, probably due to the devotion associated with the Sanctuary of Santa Maria de Finibus Terrae, the land that marked the boundary of the Roman territories.
In this strip of land, you can admire high and rugged cliffs, small golden bays interrupting the low rocks, and the famous karst caves.

Easter Coast
It precedes the Grotta del Soffio by just a few meters and is characterized by both an external and a submerged section. This is why it is called Ortocupo, meaning the hidden, enclosed, and dark garden, which, however, conceals the wonder of the Grotta del Soffio, accessible through a small dive.
