Today, Bar del Porto in Santa Maria di Leuca is managed by Francesco (grandson of Michelino and Nenè) along with two close friends, Davide and Daniele.

Without losing its original essence, Bar del Porto continues to be the go-to venue for locals but especially for tourists who want to enjoy a great drink and a fantastic summer party atmosphere.

Located in the Ciolo area, what makes this venue truly unique is its extraordinary setting: it is embedded in the rocks on a high cliffside overlooking the sea, a characteristic Salento location. But above all, it offers a range of exclusive services. The uniqueness of this place makes Gibò one of the most charming and fashionable venues in all of Salento, often used for receptions and special events. Built directly into the rock, this restaurant-club features terraces spread across multiple levels, bordered by the traditional dry-stone walls typical of Salento.

Gibò is structured on five levels, with various stairways and natural stone pathways, offering 25 terraces with sea views. There is also a beautiful millennia-old cave, recognized as a UNESCO heritage site, called “Prazziche di Sopra”, located at the very top of the hill. The venue includes two indoor halls and vast outdoor spaces.

Access is through a steep staircase, but once completed, you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views.
