NATURAL POOL MARINA SERRA
Enclosed by a rocky formation in a splendid inlet, Marina Serra is a small hamlet of the municipality of Tricase and one of the most beautiful hidden natural pools of the Mediterranean. Located along the Adriatic coast of Salento, the wonderful southern peninsula of Puglia, this enchanting stretch of crystal-clear sea is trapped by a wall of rocks shaped by the action of wind and water, forming a crescent shape. It is also a natural spot where the sunlight strikes the landscape, giving it a different shade of color depending on the time of day.

NATURAL POOL MARINA SERRA
Nicknamed “a natural pool,” the beach of Marina Serra is a splendid place to sunbathe and swim. Nestled beneath the ancient coastal watchtower Torre Palane, Marina Serra overlooks the sea that belongs to Tricase and Corsano. It is a natural cut in the rocky coastline that winds through the walls of the coral reef and into a couple of caves. It truly is an enchanting place!
The Sea Cave
Accessible only by sea, there is Grotta Matrona, which offers a unique spectacle of colors, both in its walls and in the waters it encloses.
Grotta della Poesia
Halfway between the cliffs of San Foca and the town of Torre dell’Orso lies the famous Grotta della Poesia, one of the largest natural pools in Salento and certainly the most well-known. This marvelous natural pool is a true pride of the Salento town of Roca Vecchia, famous for its five-star beaches that almost every year earn the prestigious 5 Sails of Legambiente and the coveted Blue Flag. Located just a few kilometers from beautiful Otranto, its history is the subject of various legends.
One could easily spend an entire summer searching for all the hidden caves that dot the spectacular coastline of Salento, in southern Puglia.
